What stays on your device

Alarm times, missions and targets. Your streak and morning history. Recorded proof clips and their poster frames. Your onboarding answers and, if you drew one, your signature. All of it is stored in the app's private container and is removed when you delete the app.

Camera and recordings

The camera runs only while a mission is in progress, and only after you grant permission. Recording starts when the mission starts and stops when it ends — the app cannot record in the background. Clips are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. You can turn recording storage off entirely in Settings, which also erases everything already saved.

What leaves your device

When AI verification is enabled, a handful of still frames from your mission are sent to Anthropic's API to be judged, and the verdict comes back. The frames are not used to train models and are not retained by Upreps. Nothing else — no video file, no history, no personal details — is ever transmitted. With verification off, or in demo mode, nothing leaves the device at all.

Subscriptions

Payment is handled entirely by Apple. Upreps never sees your name, card or billing address — only whether an active subscription exists. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and the purchase record — no name, no email, no payment details.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your data. Because everything is held locally, you exercise those rights directly: Settings has a control that deletes all data, and removing the app removes the rest. Write to us if you want confirmation in writing, or to complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Children

Upreps is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If this policy changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the updated version appears here and the date above changes with it.
